Laboratory simulated tests used to evaluate the performance of protective clothing upon hot liquid splashes and steam are described. The features of these hazards in relation to occupational health and safety are discussed and the requirements for protective clothing to prevent skin burn injuries are examined.
Industrial and occupational workers often encounter hot liquid splashes and steam hazards that pose a threat to their health and safety. This chapter overviewed laboratory simulated test protocols for evaluating performance of protective clothing against hot liquid splashes and pressurized steam.
Jan 1st, 12:00 AM. Thermal protective performance of membrane material used in protective clothing against hot water and steam. The aim of the research was to examine the effect of configuration and basic properties of membrane material on thermal protective performance against hot liquid and steam.
